Terms of Use

1. Scope

This portal is operated by InterRail Europe GmbH for business customers to look up containers held in our depots, obtain an estimate of the storage charges and request a pick-up. Using it means accepting these terms. These terms govern the use of the portal only. They do not form part of, replace, amend or supplement any transport, handling, storage or other agreement with InterRail Europe GmbH.

2. Access

A container can be looked up with its container number and the security code issued for it. Treat that code as confidential and pass it only to people entitled to collect the container. InterRail Europe GmbH is entitled to rely on any request submitted using a valid container number and security code as being authorised by the person to whom the security code was issued. Automated querying of the portal is not permitted; we limit the rate of failed attempts and may block access when the service is being probed.

3. The information you enter

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information submitted. InterRail Europe GmbH may rely on such information without further verification. A wrong pick-up date changes the charge; wrong transport details can prevent the release of the container at the terminal.

4. Driver details

For containers at the Malaszewicze terminal the portal asks for the name and phone number of the truck driver and the vehicle registration plates. Those are another person's personal data. Before you enter them, you are responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to provide such personal data to InterRail Europe GmbH and that a valid legal basis for such disclosure exists under applicable data protection laws. You must inform the driver that they will be used to arrange the pick-up. We provide the text for that purpose — Privacy Information for Truck Drivers — for you to hand on. You confirm both points when you submit a request.

5. Charges shown in the portal

The amount displayed in the portal is a non-binding estimate provided for information purposes only. It is calculated based on the tariff information available to InterRail Europe GmbH and the pick-up date entered by the user. The estimate does not constitute an offer, quotation, binding price commitment or invoice. The storage charges ultimately payable shall be determined by InterRail Europe GmbH based on the actual circumstances applicable at the time of collection and shall be invoiced separately. The amount payable may differ from the estimate shown in the portal, including where the container is collected on a different date or where the information provided by the user is inaccurate or incomplete.

Submitting a request through the portal does not create any entitlement to the release of a container and does not constitute acceptance or confirmation by InterRail Europe GmbH of any requested collection. Confirmation of a collection request and release of the container are subject to the issuance and full payment of the applicable invoice as well as compliance with any other applicable release requirements.

6. Availability

InterRail Europe GmbH shall not be liable for temporary unavailability of the portal, data transmission failures, technical defects or maintenance-related interruptions except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence. If it is unavailable, please contact us at pickup@interrail-europe.de.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Portal is provided solely for the transmission of operational and administrative information in connection with container pick-up processes. The submission of information through the Portal does not constitute a contract, does not create any entitlement to the release of containers, and does not replace any approvals, releases, payments or other requirements applicable to the container pick-up process. InterRail Europe GmbH does not warrant that the Portal will always be available without interruption or error. Temporary unavailability due to maintenance, technical issues, force majeure events or circumstances beyond InterRail Europe GmbH's reasonable control shall not give rise to any claims against InterRail Europe GmbH. Users are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted through the Portal is complete, accurate and up to date. InterRail Europe GmbH shall not be liable for delays, additional costs, operational disruptions or other consequences arising from inaccurate, incomplete or incorrect information provided by the user.

9. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Germany. To the extent permitted by law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction shall be Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

10. Intellectual property

Users may access and use the portal solely for legitimate business purposes relating to their container. Any reproduction, extraction, modification, distribution or other use beyond that purpose is prohibited without prior written consent from InterRail Europe GmbH.
